The aim of the Special Mission Foundation is to support the development and activation of people with various types of disabilities.

We take a comprehensive approach to: socio-emotional development through:

• social skills training,

• development of alternative communication,

• learning cooperation and collaboration in culture, play, sports, therapeutic activities.

cognitive development through:

• therapy,

• revalidation,

• rehabilitation carried out by highly specialized staff using modern technologies, specialized equipment and teaching resources.

counteracting social exclusion by:

• professional pre-orientation adapted to the needs of the current labor market,

• professional activation in the form of internships, volunteering, and professional training

• development of individual skills and talents through participation in workshops and exhibitions of own works).

Our projects

1st National Educational Project "Travels around Poland"

The project consisted of six modules: "Taste the Region," "Subjectively Through the Lens," "A Region Painted with a Brush," "Customs and Traditions," "A Region Painted with Sound," and "Dialect and Vernacular." Teams from across Poland participated, with seven schools qualifying for the finals.

On June 23rd, the Regional Cultural Center hosted the closing ceremony for the first National Educational Project, "Journeys around Poland," under the Honorary Patronage of Częstochowa Mayor Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk, the Częstochowa Delegation of the Education Board in Katowice, and the Regional Cultural Center in Częstochowa.

Ensembles from Kraków, Zabrze, Łowicz, Gębice (Greater Poland Voivodeship), and Częstochowa participated. The winners received a Regional Ambassador Certificate and awards. The event culminated in a joint tour of Częstochowa and a visit to Jasna Góra Monastery.

The organizers – Special School Complex No. 28 in Częstochowa and the Special Mission Foundation – invited various institutions from the city to collaborate, including the Regional Cultural Center, the Częstochowa Song and Dance Ensemble, and the JM Żebrowski Music School Complex.

The project is part of regional education, which will be implemented in schools from the new school year.

Activity

Ceramics classes

We're starting the year with a pottery bang! On January 27th, the first in a series of art workshops for children took place at the 28th Primary School. The workshops were sponsored by a public fundraiser. The ceramics workshop was led by Kamila Szymczyk-Brzykcy, an instructor from the Częstochowa Cultural Center. Under the guidance of the instructor and teachers, the children created clay figurines. All pieces will be fired in a ceramic kiln, then glazed and fired again.

The workshops sparked participants' interest in art. "Working with clay is a great way to unwind and relax after a hard day of work and study," said the workshop participants. "We want more," the children commented. Due to the high level of interest, we plan to continue the workshops. We invite you to join us!

Family picnic

On September 16th, at the initiative of teachers from Special School Complex No. 28 and the Special Mission Foundation, an Integration Picnic for students, parents, and teachers was held in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland in the Mirów district. Participants toured the Padre Pio Sanctuary, attended a history lesson in Grodzisk Gąszczyk, and participated in games and activities around a bonfire.

This was a good opportunity to familiarize those interested with the foundation's goals and objectives and encourage them to share their ideas and initiatives for those under its care. We hope to hold similar meetings annually to foster the exchange of experiences among all those committed to the well-being of children and their families.
